Meet our Pastors

Pastor Darrell and Donna Allen are lifelong residents of Newton County in Covington, GA. They have been married for over 40 years and have two adult children, along with four wonderful grandchildren.

For more than 30 years, they have served in ministry. In 2004, they felt called to step away from a mainstream denomination and establish a non-denominational church, which is now known as Central Church.

Pastor Darrell preaches weekly with fervor and passion about the extraordinary power that God offers to those who believe. Pastor Donna works alongside him, teaching and sharing God's Word during midweek services. Together, they collaborate to fulfill the mission of Central Church:

"Leading people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ."

The love they share for each other, their family, and God is evident in their preaching and teaching each week, both from the pulpit and through the pastoral care they provide to individual members of Central Church.

The greatest joy for our pastors comes from facilitating the work of the Holy Spirit during our weekly encounter services. They witness firsthand how people experience life-change, deliverance, and freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Values

Love God

Our greatest desire is to present ourselves holy and acceptable to Him because of our love for Him. Our love for God is and should be the motivation behind everything we do as a Christian on a personal level and as a body of believers on a corporate level.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

Love People

Everything Jesus did while on this Earth in human body was an expression of His love for others. In order to be called Christians or “Christ Like” we must follow His example to us in loving People. This is why we do what we do in every avenue of ministry.

The second greatest commandment is like unto the first in that we should love others… “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39

CHARACTER & INTEGRITY

We have determined that it does not matter what any other ministry does, we are going to be obedient with the call of God that we have heard for this ministry. In a time of compromise, we have determined that everything we do will bring glory to God. This is with all avenues of ministry here at Central and in our personal lives.

PRESENT EXCELLENCE

We believe that God deserves nothing but our very best. God gave us His very best and in return deserves nothing less than our very best. This does not mean that we have to be perfect, it simply means we gave it our best and in our weakness God will honor what has been done and He will always make the difference.

We believe that ministry should be fun! We want people to enjoy where they serve.

This means so much more than just our money. This means in every way we serve the Lord and others that we enjoy doing it. We want people to serve where their Passion is, not where we have an empty position or need.

What We Believe

The Holy Scripture

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old & New Testaments to be the verbal & inspired Word of God. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible, God-breathed & therefore the final authority for faith and life. The 66 books of the Bible are the complete & divine revelation of God to man.

The God Head

We believe there is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Trinity to be God revealing Himself in three Divine Persons, each distinct from the other, yet perfectly one; constituting one God not three.

The Person & Work of Jesus Christ

We believe in the destiny of our lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, & His future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

Salvation & The Forgiveness of Sin

We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that all of us are sinners & in need of a savior, unable to earn our salvation through doing good works, thereby destined for eternal separation & judgment from God. However, we also believe that there is good news! Salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace & received by personal faith in Jesus Christ. This abundant, everlasting life with God and the forgiveness of sins is available through Jesus alone & is offered to all who confess their sins & believe and trust in His death on the cross and His resurrection on the third day.

Water Baptism

We believe water baptism is for all believers and is to be practiced by immersion in the name of Jesus. It symbolizes our being buried with Christ unto death of self. As Christ was raised from the dead, so shall we also walk in newness of life.

Holy Spirit Baptsims

We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it in faith. We believe that by the believer’s continued submission to the Holy Spirit, his very weakness is transformed into the strength to witness for Jesus Christ in power and to live according to the will of God.

Sanctification

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by who is indwelling the Christian, who is then able to live a holy life.

Healing

We believe divine healing was provided to the believer through Christ’s finished work at the cross & that it is God’s will for us to be healed in spirit, soul, & body.

Communion

We believe communion, using the physical elements bread & the fruit of the vine, is to be done in remembrance of the shed body & blood of Christ proclaiming His death on the cross for us.

Giving

We believe that every Christian is a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to Him and obligated to support the local church financially. We believe God established the tithe (10% of the gross income – the first fruits) as a basis of giving.

Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10-11, Matthew 23:23, Luke 14:42

Human Sexuality

We believe that God commanded that no intimate, sexual activity should take place outside of marriage between a man & a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, incest, fornication, adultery, & pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. The good news, however, is that as with all sin, these too can be forgiven through the heartfelt admission of our sins & belief in the shed blood of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross.

Abortion

We believe that human life begins at conception & that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of an unborn human life. We reject the teaching which states that abortions performed because of rape, incest, birth defects, sex selection, birth control, population control, or that mental well-being of the mother are acceptable.
